Tips on how we can keep our Hair Healthy

One of the most striking features of our physical appearance- our Hairstyle. Healthy and nourished hair enhances our look, so maintaining its health is vital. Nowadays, the nourishment and strength of the hair is lower as compared to the older times due to increasing pollution and other related factors. So here are some tips to guide you nourish and keep your hair healthy

Have a hair care routine

Have a proper fixed routine in which you wash your hair and oil them thoroughly which will help you to keep hair well nourished and healthy.

Shampoo well

Use the shampoo that has the right PH balance and is not too acidic in nature as it damages the hair. So chose the shampoo wisely which suits your hair. We should apply the shampoo from the roots to the mid-shaft of the hair and rinse the shampoo preferably with cold water as hot water opens the pores which lead to hair fall.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is best friend when we need healthy hair. It not only nourishes the hair by adding nutrients but also moisturizes and untangles the hair.


Adequate sleep of about 7-8 hrs is important as it helps our body to repair itself and treat the damages that are happening on a day to day basis. Also for having healthy hair we should prefer to sleep on silk pillows as they are softer on hair as compared to normal pillow cases when we toss and turn during our sleep and also we must braid our hair while sleeping as it helps to prevent them from getting tangles.

Hair Masks

Hair masks can also help you to keep your hair nourished and healthy. Depending on your hair type you can use required hair masks once or twice a week. Egg yolk, coconut oil, and honey mask can help you to nourish the damaged hair. Combining apple cider vinegar, Greek yoghurt and honey help to reduce the breakage of hair. Lemon juice and olive oil hair mask help to cure the itchy scalp. For dry hair, we can combine avocado and coconut oil also. And to reduce the build up of dandruff we can also use baking soda and coconut oil.
